Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using TimeGenie.

Yes. TimeGenie always uses each city’s current, real time zone rule for the date you’re looking at, so daylight saving changes are handled automatically — you never need to add or subtract an hour yourself.

You can add as many cities as you like to the Time Zone Converter. Each one updates together as you move the time slider, so you can line up a call across several regions at a glance.

GMT and UTC are both reference points that don’t change with the seasons. TimeGenie shows you local time for real cities, which may be ahead of or behind UTC by a different amount depending on the time of year, thanks to daylight saving.

No. TimeGenie works entirely in your browser with no sign-up, no login, and nothing to install. Just open the page and start converting.

Yes, TimeGenie is completely free, with no limits on how many times you use it or how many cities you compare.

No. All calculations happen locally in your browser. TimeGenie does not save, transmit, or share the cities or times you choose.
